Origins of Dai Family Xinyiquan
Over the past few centuries, this martial art has been kept highly secret within the Dai family in Qixian, Shanxi province. It has a long history, rich content and rooted with Chinese metaphysics concepts. It integrates the practices and theories of Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism, making it a scientific martial art that practices both internal and external cultivation. Its techniques follow the objective laws of nature, emphasizing the balance of yin and yang, and the theory of the mutual generation and inhibition of the five elements (metal, wood, water, fire, earth), which is the essence of D.F. Xinyiquan.

The Xinyi boxing style, created by Dai Longbang and incorporating elements from various internal martial arts and Qi Gong methods, has been kept a secret for several centuries. Only members of the Dai family were allowed to learn and practice it, and they were sworn to never reveal it to outsiders. Even Li Luoneng, the founder of Xingyiquan (Form Mind Boxing), did not have access to the essential internal exercises of Dai Family Xingyiquan.
